Originally constructed at the end of the 19th century by our ancestor, who was a local farmer at the time, Laloúda was a purpose-built warehouse utilised for the storage of goods arriving by boat to the small port of Gerolimenas.
The property has been passed down through 4 generations and serves as a cornerstone and foundation for the family. An important reminder of their Greek Maniot roots, traditions, culture and heritage.
Laloúda's restoration began in 2009 and was completed in 2012. The old warehouse has been lovingly restored and repurposed into our family holiday home which you will have full access to. Situated at the base of Cavo Grosso you will be only a few steps away from Gerolimenas beach. Enjoy the sounds of the sea from your room.

Gerolimenas Beach is covered with small rocks and pebbles of various shapes and colours, which are called Laloúda (pronounced La-loo-dah) and are predominantly formed from sedimentary rocks from the surrounding mountains, like sandstone, limestone, and shale. Over extensive periods of time, with the gradual compression of sediments, the Lalouda naturally accumulate at the foreshore of the coast and through the relentless action of waves, weathering, and erosion, these rocks are worn down into smooth pebbles and stones that are a distinguishing characteristic to the beach of Gerolimenas and of the wider Mani area.
Geological forces like tectonic movements and sea level fluctuations continuously hold and reshape the coastal landscape, ensuring a timeless supply of stones for future generations.
